You will have artwork that consists of a translucent transfer tape on top of the
vinyl art on a solid color backing sheet sandwiched together. Keep them both together.
Surface Preparation - Make sure surface is clean and smooth.
Prepare ART - Some quotes or designs will be rolled up
due to length. Unroll and let it sit flat until it stays flat. Note: Words can be cut apart and stacked in rows, put on an angle,
or arranged around a window or door.
Cut around each design if several are on a sheet. Taping them lightly in place
first will help you plan better.
Placing ART - Keep both transfer tape & backing paper
in place. Use care in placing ART, as it cannot be repositioned. Lightly tape
(blue painters tape works well) the top edge of your art to your wall or surface.
Step back & check placement. Now is a good time to use a level if you have
one.
If words are too long, after they are taped in place, they can be cut into smaller
groups.
Cut between words leaving transfer tape & backing paper in place.
Remove Backing Paper & Burnish ART - With ART taped
in place, flip up sheets & carefully pull away the backing paper on which
the vinyl is sitting on, make sure it stays adhered to the transfer sheet.
Smooth transfer tape to surface with your hand. Use the wooden burnisher provided
to firmly rub ART on to your surface.
Start at top edge & work towards bottom. Burnish entire area. Fine lines sometimes
need an extra rub to make sure they stay on the wall when you pull the transfer
tape away.
Transfer Tape Removal - Slowly peel away transfer tape,
making sure all letters & designs are sticking properly. If any area lifts
up, use your burshier and rub area again until it sticks to your surface.
